Where to stay near Tasman National Park

Stay at official Fortescue Bay camping if that suits the trip — you wake next to Cape Hauy instead of leaving Hobart early. Commercial stays sit at Port Arthur, Eaglehawk Neck, Taranna, Nubeena, Dunalley, Sorell and Hobart. Official camping: Parks Tasmania — Fortescue Bay camping.

Some stay, tour and gear links may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Parks Pass fees, Fortescue Bay camping fees and official Three Capes / Parks Tasmania bookings are never affiliated.

Choose a base by intent

  • Closest to Cape Hauy: Fortescue camp, then Port Arthur / Taranna.
  • Geology first: Eaglehawk Neck.
  • Cape Raoul: Nubeena / Stormlea side.
  • Fuel and supermarket: Sorell, then Hobart.
  • No public transport to Hauy: a booked cruise can replace the drive, not the Parks Pass.

Tours & gear around your stay

Optional peninsula cruises and packing searches after you pick a bed. Official camping, Parks Pass and Three Capes are never affiliated.

Guided tours

Optional — useful when you do not want to drive the Arthur Highway
